Photography Contest
|
The German-American Society of Portland invites entries for its first
annual Photo contest. The topic of this year’s competition is “Traces
of Germany in Oregon”
Any non-professional photographer residing in Oregon can participate
in the contest. Regardless of whether you shoot analog or digital,
prefer outdoor or studio, photograph people, you can enter.
To win the contest, image quality, how the image is composed and shot
and what deeper perspective the image expresses will be judged.
Photos accepted can be of practically
any subject – as long as
the photo ties back to the topic “Traces of Germany in Oregon”.
A panel, composed of several qualified photographers,
will elect the first, second and third price winners and determine
the top 10 entries.
Winners will be informed by mail or e-mail.
Contest prizes:
First prize winner receives a $300 voucher for Adidas
Second and third prizes will be announced
The top 10 entries will be exhibited at Lorenzo’s Restaurant in January
2009, they will be featured on the German American Society website, and in the
Journal. |

Deadline for entries is October 3rd, 2008.
Every participant
can enter up to 5 images, prints only in 5x7
format.
