Since 1964 operated by the German American Society of
Portland, our school has been successfully teaching
students of all ages through creative and
interactive methods of instruction. We offer
German language classes for students from
preschool to adults. Children and adults are
grouped together with students of similar ages and
ability levels.
In addition to language classes, children and families
come together to celebrate cultural events such
as Laternenfest, Nikolaustag, Weihnachten, Fasching and
Maifest.
Monthly Jugendabend sessions bring
Saturday School teens together with students and
teachers from local high school German classes as part
of our community outreach program for evenings of
learning through games, dancing, German films, and
conversation.
